We had an unforgettable safari experience at Selous Safari Lodge, made truly exceptional by the outstanding team.

The safari drives were highly knowledgeable and full of incredible wildlife sightings, while the journey to and from Dar es Salaam added a unique and authentic insight into everyday Tanzanian life.

A highlight of the trip was exceptional coffee on safari and the consistently safe, confident driving on challenging roads, which made us feel completely at ease throughout.

The lodge itself was excellent, with beautiful rooms, great food, and a well-organized operation. Transfers between Zanzibar and Tanzania were also smooth, safe, and efficiently coordinated.

Overall, Selous Safari Lodge offers a fantastic safari experience – but it is the people and attention to detail that make it truly unforgettable.

We stayed here on a package deal from Beach Safari. Before we booked, we could not find any photos of the accommodation we were staying in.

To our delight, we stayed at this lodge. We could not believe what we were walking into. The rooms were amazing, with a nice walk-in shower, a bath in the room, a small pool outside on the terrace, and an amazing rooftop sun terrace for the dry season.

The grounds were exceptionally well kept. The food was of good quality. The staff were friendly, and the cocktails were of a European standard.

I could not quite believe how spectacular this jewel in Tanzania is. The staff didn’t just provide exceptional service, they catered to us in a way that made us feel almost like royalty.

I felt very safe, as the property is located within the park, with staff and Maasai on site monitoring for any wandering elephants or buffalo. Cleanliness and comfort are top-notch throughout.

I could not have wished for a better experience—such special memories from a truly unique place. I couldn’t think of anywhere better.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel during our safari in Nyerere National Park. We would especially like to thank Bakary for his outstanding service. From our very first day, he took excellent care of us and always made sure we were well looked after. It was a real pleasure to see him at the restaurant every day after our excursions. 😊

We also greatly appreciated our guides/drivers (Mwiny, Patrice, Sylvester) as well as the Maasai team (Hilari and his friends), who made our experience even more special.

Great bungalows, friendly staff, and incredibly close to the national park. Bushbabies jump around the property in the evening, and the private pool on the bungalow terrace is perfect for relaxing. Five-star service and very delicious food, with an especially good breakfast. I would definitely come again – 10/10.

An incredible adventure in Nyerere!

We had an amazing two-night stay at Africa Safari Nyerere – it was simply magical. A big thank you to the entire staff; this experience will stay in our memories forever!

A perfect location to explore the Rufiji River by boat safari and discover the stunning landscapes, surrounded by hippos and crocodiles – absolutely fantastic.

The food was of a very high standard, and having a private pool in the middle of the bush made the experience even more unique.

Absolutely amazing 3-day stay here! We did a 2-day safari and one day boat trip and bush walk (William and Malek). All staff were very knowledgeable and nothing was too much to ask for. The welcome received from the front house staff was brilliant.
